Design Think-Ideate

The idea of having everyone on board for student progress starts with the group stakeholders coming together to bring solutions to fruition. In this case, a student falling below academic requirements can apply to be part of the Creative Classwork Lab.

Students still must come to school and participate in the challenging activities to assist students in accomplishing more than academic requirements. Parents are involved with giving consent for the student to be a part of the program and the support to help the student finish the assigned tasks.

Teachers are engaged by allowing a facilitator to come and work with the students who could benefit from the creative concepts. Teachers will not directly teach students, but mark attendance, provide parental communication, and encouragement to students.

The benefit for administrators is one less issue to handle as a motivated student is now focused on completing creative work. Finally, in this scenario, everyone is involved in creating an environment where students can be successful.

This ideation using the project-based learning idea is not just focusing on what is wrong with the student but how one can address the issues with all stakeholders involved with student success.
